This weekly 105-min LIVE class is a guided āsana practice. We will practice the Primary Series as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in the Mysore-style Ashtanga lineage. Sanskrit will be used to count each vinyasa and to call out āsana. Led practice is meant to be done at least once weekly in the Mysore-style system. It is a wonderful way to build serious heat (tapas) and get used to hearing Sanskrit (svādhyāya). This ongoing offering is open to all, but will make more sense for those who already have or are beginning a Mysore-style Ashtanga practice. If you’re new to Mysore-style Ashtanga, you are welcome to do as much as you can and then simply watch the others for more information.

There will be 5-15 minutes set aside at the end for Q&A.

This course is guided by Julia.

Each class will include:

  • Practice

  • Q&A

  • This is the rate for a single drop-in session

  • Each session lasts about 105 minutes

  • Meets Sundays 07:00 ET (may reschedule Moon Days)

  • Private Facebook Group dedicated to those enrolled in Yalla Yoga courses
