Julia Eda Shemesh
For over two decades, I have immersed myself in the study and practice of movement—from the rigor of classical Yoga and the fluidity of dance to the depth of somatic therapy and integral anatomy. My path has woven together disciplines that might seem separate, yet at their core, all speak the same truth: movement is medicine.
I have taught thousands of hours of Yoga teacher trainings and classes across styles—Vinyasa, Hatha, 26+2—before deepening my devotion to Mysore-style Aṣṭāṅga Yoga in 2014.
Alongside my Yoga practice, my years as a professional dancer, my training as a Pilates instructor, and my experience as a doula have shaped how I understand the human body—its resilience, intelligence, and innate ability to move toward healing. Through the movement language of Gaga, I explored the limitless possibilities of embodied expression. But it was Yoga that led me deeper—into discipline, self-inquiry, and radical responsibility.
This fusion of deep study, lived experience, and personal transformation gave birth to Movement Medicine—a practice that integrates physicality with inner wisdom, offering a path to energy, freedom, and profound self-connection. I guide women—especially mothers—through movement that is both liberating and intentional, helping them reclaim their bodies, their time, and their joy.
In a world that constantly pulls us outward, Movement Medicine is an invitation to return home—to the body, to presence, to choice. My work is devoted to this journey: moving, sensing, and uncovering the vast intelligence within.
Let’s move.
