Intro to Ashtanga
This weekly 75-min LIVE class is a workshop-style āsana practice. Over the course of a month, we will learn the foundational postures of the primary series as taught by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in the Mysore-style Ashtanga lineage. Focus will be on the standing postures, a few of the seated postures and the last three closing postures. If you are new to and curious about the Mysore-style Ashtanga practice, this course will establish a solid ground from which you will be able to sustain a personal practice with knowledge and, therefore, confidence . Upon completion, you will be ready to practice the Led Primary classes offered on Yalla Yoga, joining an online sangha (community) of fellow Ashtanga yogis, which will support and inspire your ongoing practice.
